Catching up with LindaI'm very excited to report that we get to spend a full hour together when I'm back live on QVC on Monday, April 23 from 4–5 PM. If you're not near a television, you can always stream the show live on QVC Live Stream. It's a beautiful Spring show, with lots of color to transform your home into a more serene and organized setting. As usual, I found some great storage pieces, plus very affordable wall art, and the rugs and bedding you love! If you don't need anything for your home or as gifts (Mother's Day, Wedding, Anniversary etc.) I hope you'll consider tuning in just to get the decorating tips I always give you free-of-charge... your Decorator for the Day! If you're a QVC Insider (it's a membership thing), check out your magazine — it says you can start purchasing my new products on April 12th on Inside Q. I go to lots of Trade Shows, most recently the Architectural Digest Show. I see trends and new techniques that you'll see incorporated in items for Fall-Winter 2012/2013. We recently celebrated the annual HeartShare Spring Gala and Auction — wonderful turnout. My honoree for the Linda Dano Heart Award this year was the delightful and handsome, Tony Danza. He was unbelievable, even bid on the celebrity dinner at the live auction. Can you believe it, he paid to have dinner with himself (and lots of other celebrities) on May 30th at the historic Gargiulo's Italian Restaurant in Coney Island. Successful bidders paid $5,000 per couple to attend. If you'd like to join us, contact me or HeartShare to see if we still have room. All money goes to HeartShare. I try to attend as many charity events as I can but there are only two that I won't miss, HeartShare and Rosie's Theater Kids. They are both very different but are run by such devoted and selfless people. As far as what else is going on, I have several projects in the works; all too soon to talk about. I don't want you to think I'm lying in bed eating Milk Duds... I'm decorating a very large apartment in NYC; it's a huge project but a truly remarkable space. I'm hoping to start on my gardens in Connecticut very soon but it really is a little early. All the trees have started to pop but I'm a little concerned that we'll have a late storm and I'll regret starting too early. |
